Martin Stämpfli, Director, Hike Canada en Marche Martin is a retired engineer, enjoys being in nature, in the wild: mountains and hills, forests and lakes, flora and fauna and by extension hiking, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing. He has been part the committee of the Sentier national au Québec (National Trail in Quebec) since 1995 and is still an active volunteer, whether with a PC or with a saw and lopper maintaining hiking trails. He is also a director on the board of Rando Québec, the provincial hiking federation, to help promote hiking and making it accessible for all, whether it be short day hikes with the family or thruhikes such as the National Trail.He likes hiking with his wife on their trips abroad, to Switzerland, Italy, France, Croatia etc.
